Junior Concert Band
This band is for students with little or no experience who are learning to play an instrument. Rehearsals are on Wednedsays 8.00am in the school hall.
Senior Concert Band
The Senior Concert Band is for students with a minimum of one year experience who are learning an instrument. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays at 8.00am in the school hall.
Beginner Recorder Ensemble
Beginner Recorder is for students in Years 2-6. Students learn the basics skills of reading music, playing a recorder correctly to make a beautiful sound, following a conductor and playing as an ensemble. A good quality Yamaha recorder may be purchased from the school for $10. Children are required to bring a portfolio style folder for their music and practise their music 3-5 times a week. Rehearsals are on Tuesday lunchtimes in 2/1D.
Senior Recorder Ensemble
For students who have had at least one year's experience of recorder. Rehearsals are every Monday lunchtime in 2/1D.
Guitar/Uke Ensemble
For students wishing to play the ukelele or guitar. Rehearsals are on Monday mornings at 8.00am in 4/3D.
Senior String Ensemble
For experienced string students. Rehearsals are on Monday mornings at 8.00am in the school library.
Junior String Ensemble
This is for our junior students learning a string instrument. Rehearsals are on Thursday lunchtimes in the hall.
Big Night Out
The highlight of the musical year is the Big Night Out. All our ensembles, choirs and selected small groups and soloists perform at this wonderful musical evening to a packed house in the school hall in November.
