We implement a play-based learning program.
The foundation of our curriculum is the Early Years Learning Framework. This framework describes the principles, practice and outcomes necessary to support and enhance young children's learning, as well as their transition to school.
A hard copy of the document is also available from the preschool.
The Framework has a strong emphasis on play-based learning, as play is the best vehicle for young children's learning, providing the most appropriate stimulus for brain development.
Our program provides a wide variety of fun and stimulating activities which support each child's interests, needs and development. Our daily routine includes both indoor and outdoor experiences with our educators supporting the children to make decisions about the activities they want to engage with.
Our Educators provide learning experiences that develop early language, literacy and numeracy skills, and help children to learn about the world around them. Each day we have educator-led language and music group times, as well as a group reflection and sharing time. Children are supported by our educators to develop good health and safety habits. Through play based experiences children will also develop independence and self confidence, as well as learn how to get along with others.
